Job Description – Key responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will join a growing team with a global presence, and will work with both customers and team members worldwide. Successful candidates will possess advanced analytical technical expertise, strong collaborative and execution capabilities, excellent communication skills, a practical and flexible mindset, and high attention to detail and work quality. In particular, the Senior Analyst will undertake the following tasks:
data visualisation:
- convey meaningful insights via effective display of data analysis outcomes;
- develop interactive dashboards for exploring data analysis results;
- leverage existing tools to allow clients to explore data in new ways;
- research emerging tools for data visualisation and evaluate their suitability to the business;
rapid business requirement gathering and analysis:
- provides customized (statistical) analyses for client work;
- work with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data visualisation or deployment of BI tools;
- collaborates actively with case teams to identify and address client needs;
- collaborate with project team members to write prioritized business requirements documentation, including scope definition and statement of work;
provide training, assistance, and support to customers:
- provide quick-response support to case teams on subject matter expertise;
- deliver highest-quality work product both within team and to case teams / customers;
- train clients, consultants and team members on the use of data visualisation tools and custom-build apps;
other:
- perform internal team projects and duties as required;
- occasional travel – dependent on project requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have all of the following attributes, education, prior experience and key competencies:
- undergraduate degree in data engineering, business analytics, applied mathematics, computer science, IT, computer applications, engineering or a related field;
- a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant industry experience with proven focus on data visualisation and statistics;
- previous experience working in a global consulting organisation;
- ability to effectively handle difficult and stressful situations with poise, tact and patience, while demonstrating a sense of urgency;
- ability to anticipate, identify, and solve critical problems;
- flexible, self-motivated, and proactive out-of-the-box and critical thinker;
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- fluent written and spoken English;
- ability and willingness to give and receive honest, balanced feedback;
- excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail, efficient time management, and the ability to prioritize work effectively;
- ability to independently and proactively communicates issues, priorities, and objectives;

- experience in core data visualisation tasks;
- experience in designing visually compelling reports;
- experience in building interactive dashboards and data exploration tools;
- deep expertise with data visualisation and BI tools, e.g. QlikView, MicroStrategy, D3, Birst, Highcharts (experience with Tableau is essential);
- experience in data modelling (for example, variable transformation & summarisation and algorithm development);
- experience in statistical methods (for example, regression analysis, factor analysis, and decision trees); and
- experience in data cleansing.
Additional desirable/preferable skills:
Candidates will be advantaged if they possess the following education, prior experience and key competencies:
- Master’s degree in data engineering, business analytics, applied mathematics, computer science, IT, computer applications, engineering or a related field;
- expertise in programming and/or scripting experience such as SQL, Python, C#, Perl, Spark or VBA;
- ability to communicate in other languages; and
- expertise with additional data visualisation and BI tools, such as QlikView, MicroStrategy, D3, Birst, Highcharts.
