With over 120 years’ experience, Lhoist utilises the properties of lime and minerals to create bespoke, sustainable solutions for a variety of sectors. We are now looking for a Process Engineer to join our team.

As a Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the smooth running of Lhoist’s plant in Hindlow.
Upholding H&S practices, you’ll carry out process optimisation studies on existing installations and identify potential constraints within the plant.
Designing new processes, you will take ownership of small projects, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard within set budgets.
You will troubleshoot any issues to facilitate the smooth running of the plant. Additionally, you will audit manufacturing procedures and recommend ways to streamline business processes.
Your other duties will involve:
- Effectively managing energy in collaboration with the Lhoist Group
- Managing engineering contractors
- Ensuring that operations support action plans for continuous improvement
- Developing functional analysis files for automation projects
Interested? To be considered, you must have:
- At least five years’ experience in a process engineering role
- Fluent English communication skills
- A degree (or equivalent) in chemical and/or process engineering
Proactive and self-motivated, as a Process Engineer, you must be a positive team player who is open to new ideas. You must also be eager to learn with the ability to solve complex problems with analytical tools.
Experience of shaft kilns and lime manufacturing would be beneficial to your application, as would previous experience in an international environment, or the proven ability to adapt in new environments.
