Our client is the UK???s leading veterinary wholesaler providing a next day delivery service through their nationwide network of distribution depots. They supply pet products, veterinary consumables, pharmaceuticals and IT solutions for veterinary practices. They also operate a number of commercial laboratories across the UK offering clinical and diagnostic veterinary services.

They are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor responsible for the Warehouse Checking team. The Checking Department is responsible for thorough checks of all orders prior to despatching the consignment to the customer. The Supervisor should be mobile (not desk based), focussed on expediting the checks, actively mobilising the team to smooth the throughput and to anticipate peaks in the workload and requesting additional labour from other departments in a timely manner to prevent bottlenecks. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all orders are ready to ensure HGVs leave at scheduled times. The role requires the ability to supervise, coach, and motivate the department???s Team Leaders.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Working hours are 37.5 per week, Sunday 12:00-20:30 and Monday to Thursday 15.30-12:00 (midnight). There may also be extra hours on occasions according to business needs.

* Team Leadership experience
* Self-motivated and results focused/driven
* Warehouse working experience would be an advantage.
* High attention to detail.
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Good H&S knowledge
* Mature, credible individual who is capable of communicating at all levels within the organisation and commanding respect from their staff
