Night Care Assistant
36 hours per week
£16,481 - £17,891p.a.

The post is working with four young people young people aged between 10 and 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated learning difficulties.
We are looking for an outstanding Night Care Worker who can support young people who have experienced abusive situations and manage very challenging behaviours, including self-harming incidents. Therefore it is essential that you have the ability and resilience to support the young people and manage a good life/work balance for yourself.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of six months experience of working with children, young people or adults; either in a voluntary; paid work or other relevant setting. If you do not already have the Diploma Level 3 Children & Young people you will be required to register and gain this qualification, you will receive regular supervision and training.
Within this post you will be expected to support the young people in their night time routine and complete identified tasks as part of your role. You need to have a general awareness of issues and policies relating to young people.
Have a good understanding of health and safety. We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, has the ability to use their own initiative and able to have resilience in difficult situations enabling the most positive outcomes.
You will work shifts as part of a 36 hour week on a 4 week rota pattern. This will include weekends and bank holidays. Shift work has a big impact on your lifestyle and you will need to consider this when applying for the post!
