ICT Project Coordinator - Emergency Services Network Transition

Fixed term contract 15-18 months

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to support our transition to the new national Emergency Services Mobile Communication Platform.

The Emergency Services Mobile Communications Platform is the next evolution in Emergency Services communications, bringing 4G mobile data communications as well as enhancing existing voice communications.

We require an enthusiastic, pragmatic and dedicated person to help achieve our transition from the current voice communications platform (TETRA Radio) to 4G mobile data and voice platform.

If you have managed systems implementations, or transitions, business transformation projects, this is the role for you.  A challenging timescale awaits on this nationally coordinated project.

You will be directing and managing varied work streams across the organisation, working with key stakeholders, board members and regional partners to deliver one of the most ambitious blue light communications programmes in a decade. Future proofing and enhancing communications capabilities of the Fire Service, bringing new opportunities, developments and delivering mission critical communications on an entirely new platform.

The role is about delivering business change and improvement to ways of working, ensuring that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is ready for the change and is in a position to leverage the best value from this significant national investment.
