Our client provides myriad voice, video and data technologies to enable people to interact, engage and communicate with each other. They are now looking for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join their passionate team.

As a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the infrastructure of one of our client’s customers. 

In this important role, you’ll monitor the server, network and telephony systems, maintain backups and manage virtual machines. 

Liaising with other technical teams, you’ll ensure that all open requests are dealt with and you troubleshoot a wide range of issues in a timely manner. 

Additionally, you’ll take part in meetings to steer decisions on infrastructure related projects and advise others on basic system architecture. 

As part of your role, you may occasionally be required to travel to other customer sites and data centres. 

Interested? To be considered, you must have: 

- Experience of troubleshooting issues
- Advanced knowledge of MS Active Directory 
- A working knowledge of SAN storage, including NetApp, Nexsan and Nimble 

As a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer, you must have excellent time-management and problem-solving skills. You must also be a strong communicator with a deadline-oriented approach and a team player mentality. 

An understanding of Cisco networking and voice would be beneficial. Knowledge of creating and maintaining SQL 2008 / 2012, including basic DBA duties would also be advantageous.
