Title: Assistant Bus Station Manager
Location: West Midlands area (Sites including Wolverhampton, Bilston and Coventry)
Salary: £24,249 - £28,363 per annum + excellent benefits
Hours: 36.5 hours per week - Please note the shift and location arrangements
(There will be a requirement to work a range of hours to suit operational needs between the hours of 0700 and 1900, Monday to Sunday)

This role plays a crucial part in helping us achieve this vision for customer service excellence and we are looking for an outstanding candidate to fulfil this important role.

The successful Assistant Bus Station Manager will assist the Area Bus Station Manager with the day to day operation of bus stations ensuring agreed quality standards, health and safety obligations and high levels of customer service are achieved to deliver a professional, world class experience for all customers.

The Assistant Bus Station Manager will also be expected to cover in the absence of the Area Bus Station Manager, and Bus Station Supervisors. The role will be responsible for managing teams of Bus Station Supervisors and contractors on site, coaching and mentoring team members to ensure quality standards and performance targets are achieved.

The Assistant Bus Station Manager will participate in out of hours 'On Call' management duties and respond accordingly, and respond to customer enquiries that could not be resolved at first contact or are reported via our Customer Contact Centre, ensuring a high quality and timely response to the customer that meets agreed quality standards and targets.

Person Specification:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* High level customer service skills
* Good organisational skills with the ability to follow/give instructions to achieve results
* Ability to work positively with the general public and work under pressure
* Self motivated with good attention to detail
* Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites. Bus stations are in operation for up to 20 hours per day, every day so having a flexible approach to working hours is essential

If you are interested in working in a management capacity across a number of our bus stations you should ideally have a good understanding of public transport in the West Midlands, be able to demonstrate an understanding of health and safety management and have a controlled and logical approach to your work. There will be a fully comprehensive induction and training program provided for the successful Assistant Bus Station Manager prior to commencement.
