Analyst Programmers, Bradford

We operate from 6 UK locations and supply our customers with end-to-end supply chain solutions including freight forwarding, contract logistics, value added services and UK distribution.
As one of our Analyst Programmers working in the IT department, you will will work in a growing team of software developers/project support team working on in-house solutions. Based at our site in Bradford your role will be to develop Warehousing/ Transport software solutions using .NET and SQL 2014 as well as supporting and enhancing a small number of legacy systems using the SCRUM framework.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities as one of our Analyst Programmers
You will be responsible for developing software in a structured fashion in line with the existing standards. You must have a proven track record of working on data handling and transactional systems. You will demonstrate an ability to work in an agile fashion, individually or in a small team to complete high quality software for a variety of different projects.
Daily SCRUM stand-ups are held where progress will be reported back to the SCRUM team along with anticipated progress and any “blockers”.
To become one of our Analyst Programmers you must have the following skills and experience
- Works well in a team
- Microsoft Visual Basic .NET or C#. Net development
- Object Orientated Programming
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014 (or earlier)
- Problem Solving
- .NET Framework
- Relational Databases
- No qualification is essential but must be able to demonstrate working experience
- Compact Framework 3.5
- WinForms .NET
- .Net Web Services
- Knockout.js (or similar)
- Agile Development Frameworks (SCRUM)
- Sources Control (TFS)
- Degree Level in Computing or related course
- Microsoft certification
