Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.
They currently have an opportunity available for a Lecturer in Animal Management to join them based at their Shipley centre. This position is to provide cover for a period of maternity leave.
Within the role you will be required to contribute to programmes within the Animal Management Section and across the college where relevant, planning and supervising the learning experience of our students and contributing fully to the promotion of and continued success of the College.
Assisting with the development of the curriculum within the Section, you must ensure all administrative responsibilities associated with lecturing are completed and participate in training and development courses, research, secondment and personal contact in order to keep up to date in technical and education expertise.
Candidates for this role must be educated to level 6 in Animal Management or other relevant subject, hold level 2 qualifications in Numeracy and Literacy (or be willing to work towards these) and hold a Teaching Certificate or be committed to gaining one within a required time frame. With experience of working within the animal management industry and communicating with a wide range of people, you will ideally hold some teaching experience and have good organisational and administrative skills.
