Opportunities are available for exceptional and experienced Carer to join an established, family run, luxury nursing home that offer a range of services for its elderly residents including respite and dementia care. Based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands the successful Carer will earn £7.30 to £8.00 per hour, depending on experience. Flexible shifts available with both full time and part time roles on offer, with a mix of weekdays, weekends and nigh shifts.

As a Carer, you will be responsible for consistently delivering a high standard of care to an allocated group of residents. Reporting to and working under the direction of the Registered Manager or Senior Staff, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Fully supporting and assisting residents to maintain all activities of daily living
  • Ensuring that personal care, physical and emotional needs of the residents are met
  • Participating in the evaluation and review of each resident you are a key worker
  • Making daily records on progress up to date
  • Acting as a role model to Care Assistants providing support and direction and ensure all allocated tasks are delivered to a high standard
  • Ensuring all residents, relatives and visitors are addressed in a professional manner
 
The successful Carer will have demonstrable experience in Direct Care, preferably within an older person setting. In addition, you will also possess the following skills and experience:
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organised and able to prioritise care
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under your own initiative
  • Flexible, caring and compassionate
  • Desire to make a difference
