Our client is part of the Mercado Group, the country's leading distributor of Floor covering in the UK. Customers include Independent Retailers and Contractors located throughout the country. Their continued development will see the opening shortly of a new Trade Counter and Distribution facility in Derby and they are looking to recruit individuals keen to grow with this business and realise it's full potential

Trade Counter/Depot Manager - Circa £28k+
The position will oversee all aspects of the Operation within the Depot, including -

• The development of the Trade Counter Sales
• Trade Counter & Warehouse Operations (Mon-Fri )
• Stock Management , security & customer service
• Health & Safety at the site and staff welfare

The ideal candidate will

• Have experience of running a Trade Counter and/or small warehouse and Distribution team
• Be able to lead the team, operating independently
• Be both commercially aware & customer facing
• Have a current driving licence & ideally a forklift license
• Be computer literate in word, excel etc

Knowledge of the floor covering trade is not absolutely essential but would be a considerable advantage.
