Our company client is a fast growing Technology Distributor business who are now looking to recruit a dynamic and personable Buyer to join their Inventory Department based in Essex.The successful candidate will ensure the management of allocated suppliers saleable stock procurement and will maximise the stock availability for customers, whilst minimising exposure to excess or aged high value stocks. This role offers exposure across internationally renowned brands.

Major duties for this role include:
* Purchasing goods to ensure high stock availability and uninterrupted supply to customers, without exposing to excess stocks.
* Proactive assessment of information from multiple sources inc. sales, forecasts, market trends and promotional activities.
* Building and developing vendor relations.
* Holding weekly and monthly forecast reviews with senior management.
* Extensive inventory management, driving execution of strategies to reduce excess/aged stock levels.
Background and knowledge required:
* Ideally 2+ years' experience within distribution, retail or dealers.
* Preferable experience within purchasing of IT and consumer electronics.
* Proven track record of inventory management.
* CIPS desirable but not essential
Personality metrics:
* Enthusiastic and motivated
* Firm/forceful when necessary
* Commercially aware
* Great attention to detail
* Dynamic and driven
