Our client is looking for an Assistant Production Controller to assist the Buying Team in the monitoring of orders and salesman samples to ensure deliveries areachieved on time.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and also previous experience of working within a buying office.
Duties will include:
Monitoring bulk orders and salesman samples with the aim to achieve deliveries on time
Assisting the Costing process in creating Buying Programmes and issuing costing requests under instruction from the Production Controllers
Assisting with the raising of garment purchase orders & amendments & check on to the system
Assisting with the maintenance of all aspects of critical path & progress as required by establishing good relationship with suppliers by e-mail and phone and regularly monitoring the ordering of components and production progress in order to achieve deliveries on time
Assisting with the maintenance of and communicating all delivery delays via Merchandising system to planning
Take part in weekly Critical Path meetings with the rest of the team to ensure the Critical path dates are met to ensure deliveries are on time
Approving barcode information
Update and maintain delivery on time records
Have an awareness and understanding of the QC process in relation to the Critical Path and order process – including the fit process, testing requirements, auditing measures and legislation
Creating colour pallets and monitoring the lab dip process
Responsible for raising salesman samples orders
Assisting with the raising, monitoring & progressing of garment, accessory & fabric orders for ‘on time’ delivery of salesmen’s samples
Monitoring of the Critical path process for salesman samples to ensure they are received in time for range launch
Trip arrangement – completion of the itinerary, booking of hotels, arrangement of visa applications and booking of meetings where applicable
