THE COMPANY
A world renowned Global Automotive Manufacturer is looking to recruit a Cost Analyst to support the Key Account Managers with regards to winning and maintaining a profitable business. This is a new position within the UK Commercial Function of a worldwide company, of which you will be responsible for supporting the overall Commercial Divison with the analysis of costs.

THE ROLE
As the Cost Analyst, you will review and challenge quotation proposals for accuracy and cost efficiency. Supporting all aspects of the company Quotation System(GQS), you will prepare internal quotation enquiry documents and work closely with NPI, Commercial and Finance teams to report on new product introduction, tooling and capital investments.
Covering current production profitability and price change analysis, you will also be expected to partake in ad-hoc reporting as required by Finance / Commercial Director, whilst working to strict deadlines. Due to the nature of the role, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and look to support continuous improvement activities

THE EXPERIENCE
To succeed within this role, you will ideally be part qualified in an accountancy qualification or be educated to degree level within a relevant discipline. With previous experience in cost analysis and estimating, you will also be well versed in understanding the manufacturing processes with a working knowledge of computerised systems,( e.g SAP) Able to demonstrate project management skills, you will also possess a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups. Experience of working within the automotive/manufacturing industry is essential.
