LOCATION: Halifax , Wakefield or Huddersfield

JOB TITLE: Deputy Manager - Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield.

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP19,000 - GBP21,500 per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience

WORKING HOURS: 39 Hours per week

THE COMPANY: Our client is currently one of the largest and most innovative providers of education and residential care to children within the UK. They strive to provide strategies, support and solutions to some of the most difficult challenges involving young people.

THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and successful company as a Deputy Manager based in Halifax. The purpose of the position is to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the residential home and ensure a safe and caring environment, whilst being accountable for delivering a high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home.

Key Responsibilities for the role of Deputy Manager based in Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield:-

Organising staff rotas

Preparing plans for the children

Taking part in the 7 day rota

Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children

Supporting the Registered Manager as and when is required

To be responsible for the day to day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager



THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the role of Deputy Manager will have a minimum of 1 years' supervisor experience of working in Residential Childcare, and will hold an QCF or NVQ 3 (Caring for Children and Young People). Experience of the supervision of staff is essential to the role, as well as experience in child protection. Experience in Social Work Management is not essential, however would be desirable.



Key experience essential for the role of Deputy Manager based in Halifax, Wakefield or Huddersfield:-



A minimum of 3 years' experience of working in Residential Childcare is essential

A QCF or NVQ 3 (Caring for Children and Young People) is essential

Experience of the supervision of staff is essential

Experience in Social Work Management is not essential, however would be desirable.

A full UK Driving Licence is desirable
