Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)
Middlewich, CW10

Position Summary;
Reporting directly to the MD and working within a small and focused team, utilising supply partners for equipment and services, as Design Engineer you will work on mechanical engineering plant process solutions including assisting with ;
• Sales development and project management
• Planning and costing
• Installation work planning
• Process automation
• Site management and maintenance
• Development of SGHE engineering capability and equipment ranges
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will need the ability to work unsupervised, in a fast paced environment so that completion dates are achieved and customers’ expectations are exceeded.
• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is essential and strong working experience in the process industry, particularly in bulk powders handling would be interesting
• Experience of designing process plant incorporating mechanical & electrical components including process automation. Experience of fabrication (structural and sheet metal work), plus pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous
• Strong skills of working with Inventor/ Solidworks, or a similar 3D CAD package
• Knowledge of producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical information
• Robust problem solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to provide technical, innovative solutions and work well as part of a team and individually
• IT proficient
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
Consideration will be given to ambitious candidates with a mechanical background qualification and the desire to learn our products
