Our client is a multi-award winning plastics recycling company that is leading the fight for sustainability in plastics. They are now looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team.

As an Applications Engineer, you will provide pre-sales technical support and general technical assistance to customers. 

Supporting the Sales Teams through your expertise and knowledge of polymers, you will also work closely with customers to advise on plastic grades and provide solutions that will optimise their equipment. 

Your role will encompass trials, tests and on-site developments at our client’s site in Worksop as well as at customer sites. 

You will work directly with Plant Development Engineers and Process Improvement Engineers to ensure products are developed in line with specifications and budgets. 

In this exciting role a projects based approach will be required as many of the products are bespoke and applications are highly varied. 

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake some national and international travel.

So, is this the role for you? If so, you must have: 

- Detailed knowledge of polymers and injection moulding 
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Management or Chemistry (or similar) 

As an Applications Engineer, you’ll need to be an exceptional communicator with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external. You’ll need to be able to focus on the results for customers whilst influencing key decision makers.
