Our client is a well-established charity which has been operating since 1981. They provide specialist palliative care and support to patients with terminal illnesses whilst offering vital emotional support for their families thereby aiming to enhance the quality of life of individuals living with a life-threatening, incurable illness. The support they offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

They are looking for a Facilities Manager to support all departments across the Hospice. You will maintain health and safety practices which ensure that the Hospice manages risk and is compliant with the appropriate legislation/standards. You will ensure health and safety compliance at the Hospice, 13 shops and warehouse, be responsible for the management and monitoring of service contracts including tendering, ensuring Hospice vehicles are maintained and roadworthy and the procurement of supplies for the clinical teams. Your role will be to advise and empower workers at all sites to ensure our facilities are operating in line with guidelines.

As the successful candidate, you will have a comprehensive understanding of current health and safety legislation, guidance and best practice, experience of carrying out health and safety related risk assessments, an understanding of security requirements, data protection and confidentiality and the ability to motivate others whilst effectively managing your time and meeting deadlines.

You will possess good IT skills including MS Office and have the ability to communicate at varying levels. A health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is desirable.

As the role will involve travel across sites you are required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle which is insured for business use. A Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS) will be required. What we offer:
