Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

Our customers are of the highest quality professional chefs and restaurateurs, and as a Classic Fine Foods Customer Service Officer you will be their daily support to ensure that they are delivered the highest quality produce, with wonderful service too.  The successful candidate will be approachable, helpful and knowledgeable about our products.  A keen eye for detail is important to deliver an organised, professional service – always delivered with a smile and positivity. 

Duties of the Customer Service Officer

  • Supporting telesales by taking live calls from customers, answering their queries and taking orders
  • Processing orders from emails, faxes and phone calls
  • Dealing with all sales related issues (returns, collections etc) where appropriate
  • Managing the order processing system
  • Managing sales supporting spreadsheets
  • Managing online supplier portals
  • Filing all relevant documents
  • Dealing with visitors and customers collecting goods from the office
  • Processing cash & credit card payments
  • Covering all general office duties

Requirements of the Customer Service Officer

  • Excellent standard of English, spoken and written
  • Articulate and highly communicative
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to multitask and work under time pressure
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures
  • Keen eye for detail
  • An interest in food and food industry
