Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for the position of Support Workers at Ty Coryton, our Residential School in Whitchurch, Cardiff. Tŷ Coryton comprises of an Independent Special School and Registered Children’s Home and is set in a beautiful Welsh manor house where the young people have access to state of the art facilities in order to gain experience and qualifications. Everyone at Tŷ Coryton works towards providing our young people with the greatest opportunity to grow intellectually and morally within an environment which is safe and nurturing.

The role will require you to support the young people in a range of educational and vocational activities both on site and in the wider community, ensuring that all duties are carried out to a high standard. You will also be required to work as part of a team and support fellow team members and senior management. Ty Coryton prides itself on being able to promote the rights of the young people in our care, by providing outstanding therapeutic and personal care in school, residence and in the wider community. In doing so you will be required to give written reports on a daily basis and be involved in the development and implementations of placement and support plans as part of the key working groups.

As a Support Worker you would follow a 24 hour, 365 days a year rota, according to the needs of the children and young people and the service. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week with flexibility. Experience in the healthcare sector would be desirable bot not essential.
