Senior Care Assistant

Hazlemere, High Wycombe

£9.13 – £9.24 per hour

20 hours per week, you will work nights on a shift rota basis, including regular weekend.

Hazlemere Lodge is a purpose built care home for 64 older people. The home has large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities and equipped with the latest technology. At Hazelmere they offer personalised care tailored to an individual’s specific needs. They provide nursing care for 32 residents and care for up to 16 residents with dementia.

Job Role
• To support the Manager in all aspects of the running of the service.
• To act as the Shift Leader in charge of the service on a shift basis.
• To work as part of the care team to ensure that high standards of care and support are given to suit the individual needs of each person.
• To foster an atmosphere whereby people are encouraged to maintain and further develop their independence as fully as possible.
• To ensure that the highest standard of care and support is maintained in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and CQC Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.

Role specific requirements
• Hold NVQ level 2 or equivalent
• At least 2 years care experience within a residential care home setting
• A commitment to undertake appropriate training to equip the post holder with the required skills, knowledge and competency necessary to successfully meet the needs of the DRP e.g. medication training.
