Are you a fully qualified Geography teacher who loves to see your students excel in this area, and become well prepared for the next stages in their educational journey? If so then a Geography teaching role in this forward thinking and inclusional school is for you!

Randstad Education is a market leader in the Education recruitment sector. Here at the Chelmsford branch we help teaching and support staff find temporary and permanent roles all over Essex. Currently, we are working closely with a large secondary academy in the Colchester area and they are looking to strengthen their Humanities faculty by appointing a strong Geography teacher. The successful applicant will help reinforce the school's core values and educational principals.

The successful candidate will need to display:

*Thorough subject knowledge of Geography up to GCSE, with the ability to teach it at A Level being a huge advantage
*Good behaviour management. Behaviour at the school is good but keeping pupils consistently on track is a must
*Delivery of consistently good and outstanding lessons to ensure more-able students are suitably challenged and areas for improvement are regularly identified
*Good communication skills between peers, colleagues, SLT members and others around the school
*A sense of humour and the ability to remain calm under pressure

In it's last Ofsted report, the school was graded as good. It has been graded Outstanding in the past, and the Senior Leadership Team are keen to see a swift return to this position. The Principal has a clear vision of provision for all pupils, and pupils enjoy attending the school and make very good progress. Behaviour at this school is very good, and disadvantaged/SEN students are effectively taught and receive good additional support.

The school is looking to appoint staff with the ability to communicate well with parents and colleagues, particularly identifying areas for improvement with it's pupils and making others aware about a particular students' needs. The are looking for staff that can display excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to challenge and inspire the most-able pupils to secure the very best outcomes.

If you think this sounds like the position for you, and you would like to work at a campus-style school with a strong family and community focus, then please get in touch with us here at Randstad Education Chelmsford.
