About the Role
This exciting new role will both challenge and reward the successful candidate. The site operations manager will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations at their 80,000sq ft Leeds depot (based in the LS12 area), which operates a high-frequency dispatch service across the Yorkshire area.

Working closely with the depot manager and supervisory team, the depot operations manager's responsibilities will include:

- Recruitment of drivers and warehouse staff
- Training and development of the team
- Working closely with HR on managing site specific requirements including holding disciplinary and review meetings
- Ensuring systems and procedures are enforced and followed on site
- Managing logistics, planning delivery runs
- Ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times
- Working with the sales team to overcome any service issues
- Working closely with the stock manager to ensure stock integrity policies are fully managed on site
- Enforcing on-site H&S requirements and policy
- Overseeing site security

In addition to the responsibilities above, you will also play an integral role in developing new shift patterns and delivery routes as the depot gears-up to provide a UK-wide bulk delivery service.

This is not a role for the faint hearted it will involve setting and maintain exceptionally high standards and delivering our service promise 100% of the time. It will involve flexible working hours and dedication to really set and maintain a high standard of performance.

The successful candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Exceptional management and leadership skills and experience
- Clear and positive communication skills across all levels of management
- Logistical planning and control experience
- A proven track record in warehouse/operations management
- A flexible and forward thinking approach
- The ability to be a hands on leader where required - with the ability to both oversee and manage the day-to-day whilst actively working on longer-term development of the site

First 6 months basic pay of £35k per year, rising to £40k per year after 12 months.

Bonus scheme introduced after first 6 months with £5k potential per year
