They now have an exciting opportunity for a Skills Trainer/Assessor in Manufacturing to join them where you will recruit, induct, train, review, assess, monitor and track work based and work related candidates working in the relevant field. This is a part time role working 18.5 hours per week, and is also a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months

As a Skills Trainer / Assessor you will maintain a minimum student case load whilst undertaking Internal Verification duties. Providing appropriate information, advice and guidance on Work Based and Work Related programmes, you will recruit students onto programmes through new business activity and effective maintenance of current relationships; carrying out initial assessment screening and reviews of students, you will also ensure they are placed on appropriate training programmes.

The successful candidate will have a relevant Level 2 qualification in Manufacturing, Lean Management, Performing Operations, or equivalent, coupled with Maths and English to Level 2. With substantial experience in a relevant occupational area, you will have recent experience of assessing in the workplace and be able to respond to the needs of employers and students. Excellent communication and organisational skills are key, as is having a high level of enthusiasm and commitment, providing an excellent service to employees and students.

Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to travel to deliver the role, therefore a level of flexibility and having available transport is essential.
