Join our Operations Team in Ely and you'll play an important role in incident response and ensuring our assets are up to standard.
The role
Managing our Operations Field Team for Ely, you'll see they are fully trained and ready to respond to any flooding incident or emergency. Your team will also deliver a fast paced programme of maintenance works for our rivers and flood risk management structures in the Lower Great Ouse Catchment (Cambridgeshire and Norfolk) which is essential for protecting people, property and wildlife.
You'll ensure the successful delivery of important engineering projects delivering through your team of skilled operatives and working closely with contractors. You'll also be working with external partners, landowners and internal teams to plan the future maintenance needs for the catchment. You'll will ensure your team is trained to the highest standards and fully up-to-date with all health and safety legislation and requirements.
About you
Confident and credible, it's essential that you have a proven track record managing a team of people to produce results. Ideally, you'll also have some operational flood risk management or construction / maintenance management experience and be up-to-date with the current health and safety legislation. Enthusiastic and ambitious, you'll use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to build solid working relationships with internal and external colleagues at all levels.
