Facilities Property Assistant
Battersea
GBP17,940 per annum
Monday - Friday 07:30am - 15:30pm
Carlton Recruitment is pleased to announce that our prestigious client is currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Facilities Property Assistant to oversee, co-ordinate, administer and maintain the fabric and physical security of the businesses building. Your role will include:
• Providing security and maintenance support within the Facilities Department, following all statutory Health and Safety requirements
• Maintaining and overseeing other building assets and to co-ordinate/liaise with external contractors
Responsibilities
• Ensuring overall security of the building resources and buildings at all times
• Setting up and setting down resources in studios/meeting rooms
• Carrying out works such as painting/decorating, changing of light-bulbs, gardening, general maintenance issues
• Check toilet facilities for the supply of toilet paper/soap and general cleanliness
• Check and stock staff kitchen supplies
• Delivering to appropriate Department any packages that are delivered to the Main Reception
• Moving to store any bulk stock deliveries that are delivered to the Main Reception
• Monitoring and reporting any maintenance issues that could be a health and safety issue
• Keeping courtyard and general external areas clean and tidy
• Ensuring internal and external lighting is switched on/off at appropriate times
• Working with other members of the Facilities Department as and when required.
Other duties
• Any other duties and responsibilities within the Facilities Department which may arise
• Undertake the role with respect for others and due regard to equality
• Provide emergency cover for reception staff as necessary
Personal Specification
• Experienced with general maintenance duties including painting, decorating and gardening
• Experienced undertaking simple administrative tasks
• Experienced working on a reception desk or public facing role
• GCSE level (or equivalent) including English and Maths
• First Aid / Fire Officer training and/or qualification
• IOSH / NEBOSH Health &
• Safety Training Knowledge
• Knowledge of health and safety issues and procedures
• Awareness of security requirements for a public building
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Email and Internet
• Comfortable providing excellent standards of customer service - both internal and external customers
• Ability to remain calm and problem solve
• Ability to work within in a team
• Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
• The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record clearance
