Purchase Ledger Associate (Up To 6 Month FTC)

By helping our customers to define their requirements, SSP map the journey and build the solution.
 
We are looking for talented Purchase Ledger Associate to join our Finance team in our Halifax office.
 
As our Purchase Ledger Associate you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, credit notes and payments through our systems, whilst ensuring that the required approval processes are adhered to for the Group. You will manage supplier queries that come through via the phone or email through to maintaining and developing good relationships with our suppliers. Whilst making sure the ledger is maintained and the data is up to date and accurate, you will utilise your attention to detail; to ensure all supplier invoices are coded to the correct departments, post payments to the ledger, distribute the supplier remittances and reconcile supplier statements. You will also process staff expenses, deal with general daily paperwork i.e. post and filing and be involved in the scheduled financial activities i.e. month end and year-end reporting.
 
This role is full time, 9am till 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
 
What experience we look for from you
 
- Previous purchase ledger experience is essential
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Experience of supplier relationship management
- Experience of managing and prioritising own workload
- Experience of using ‘Access Dimensions’ is desirable but training will be provided
- Processing payments via online banking experience and dealing with international currencies is also desirable but not essential
