Our client is a global cooperative sugar group, processing agricultural raw materials into sugar, alcohol and starch. They are now looking for Machine Technicians to join their Production Team.

If you’re a proven machine technician, this is an outstanding opportunity to grow and progress with a progressive food manufacturing organisation.

In this diverse role, our client offers you the chance to further increase your skill-set whilst enhancing your career.

As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for completing the production process, ensuring products are created to customer specifications.

Working to production targets and making sure efficiencies are maintained and improved, you will ensure safe working practices are followed and you maintain a continuous improvement mindset.

Conforming to H&S, quality and hygiene procedures, you will ensure the quality of the final product and will handle machine changeovers and basic maintenance.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll deal with any non-conforming products, complete the required documentation and seek to minimise waste. Economising on packaging materials and other consumables, you’ll communicate issues with colleagues to minimise downtime and undertake some elements of stock control.

Additionally, you will provide a first line engineering support service to the production line, correcting equipment and identifying areas of potential failure.

Interested? To be considered, you must have:

- Experience as a machine technician, ideally working within a food environment
- Experience of following quality and health and safety guidelines
- Experience of working with continuous improvement techniques

Adaptable and flexible, as a Machine Technician, you’ll need to be able to work using your own initiative and possess great communication and interpersonal skills whilst ensuring high standards of work are maintained.

You'll also need an organised approach to your work with a strong attendance and timekeeping record.
