Job Title: Legal Administrator

Location: Cheadle, SK3 0UX

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Our client are a rapidly expanding ABS, specialising in RTA and EL/PL personal injury claims. The company were created to provide class-leading legal advice and client care to all of our individual and institutional clients. Our client are the largest third-party accident management and claims handling provider in the UK; serving insurers, brokers and fleet operators by providing a wide range of claims handling solutions across the motor, property and legal claims sectors. The company are a financially secure global organisation listed on the New York stock exchange, with UK centres of operation in Cheadle near Manchester, Ipswich and Mansfield.

Our client are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join the team in the role of Legal Administrator; this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the Legal industry. To be successful you will need to have the drive required to meet and exceed customer expectations, build internal and external relationships and deliver excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is an exciting and challenging role for a recent law graduate looking to develop a career within a growing company. To be successful, you will need to be organised with strong attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. As one of our Legal Administrators, your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Carry out all of the initial work relating to new and potential new personal injury claims, up to the end of Stage 1 of the RTA & Non-RTA Low Value PI Claims Protocols
  • Take initial instructions (whether by telephone or otherwise) from potential clients and obtaining all information that may be required, vetting the file as well as updating the systems
  • Arrange sign-up by the client of our initial documentation
  • Carry out all due diligence compliance checks
  • Advise the client regarding the funding of their case, and arrange ATE or BTE insurance where appropriate
  • Any other such duties, commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post, as may be required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of the personal injury claims process and familiarity with the Low Value PI Claims Protocols
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of data-entry
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent typing and writing skills
