Principal Strategy Officer - Birmingham
£37,364 - £42,051 per annum + excellent benefits
36.5 hours per week
To support the development of Transport for West Midland's (TfWM) political, economic, environmental, social and technological strategy base in an evidenced way to provide priorities and direction for delivery planning, programme development and service delivery.
The post holder will support the strategy and policy teams as a senior role model by providing sound informed strategy advice on political, economic, social, environmental and technological matters. You will commission input to initiatives and make a significant contribution to developing and continuously reviewing TfWM's transport strategy so as to meet the demands of the organisation Movement for Growth Strategy, SEP and wider organisation objectives
The successful candidate will have experience and wide knowledge of public sector policy and strategy issues as well as transport planning, operational research or other similar discipline. Key to the success of the post holder will be building relationships with stakeholders across the Metropolitan Area and beyond as appropriate to influence and support the development of transport and economic strategy.
