This small company which started in 1997 has been growing rapidly. Despite having only 10 or so staff they are well known worldwide in the charity sector, working with charities that are looking to fundraise internationally. They specialise in regions with tax advantages specifically the US, UK and Hong Kong, setting up and operationally supporting branch offices/affiliates for clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a part time finance role for TWO DAYS a week in which they can develop their skills and support a growing business. This individual will report directly to the CEO, acting as a number two, and will be able to affect strategic decisions. As the Finance Manager / Head of Finance you will be managing an Associate and have overall responsibility for delivering all day-to-day transaction level work and record keeping including client billing, bookkeeping and cash management.

The fast growing and entrepreneurial nature of the business means that this role offers a huge scope and potential for the right individual to make this role their own with further possibility to take on additional work and responsibility as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to supporting the CEO on a daily basis, responsibilities for this role include:

Management reporting
- Preparation/analysis of monthly forecast and variance analysis reports
- Review/analysis of monthly actual submission in Quickbooks (QB)
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly finance pack to the CEO
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and strategic planning
- Review/analysis of monthly cash flow forecasts

Financial operations
- Run payroll monthly, pension contributions
- Run monthly payments to suppliers
- Prepare/submit P11D
- Prepare/submit annual accounts and tax return
- Prepare/submit quarterly VAT returns, monthly PAYE/NIC to HMRC

Skills Required
- Strong analytical skills with good commercial awareness
- Experience working in Industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- QB experience desirable
- Strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA

Hours: 14 hours per week, to be arranged with the individual.
