My client, a public Sports Centre attached to an educational facility in the Coventry area, are looking for an experienced Manager to join them on a Full Time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week (across a 7 day rota) - shifts to be determined. The centre is open until 10pm so evening and weekend work is required.

You must be an excellent communicator, trustworthy and reliable with good organisational skills, and you must have Pool Plant Maintenance training.

You musthave a DBS on the transferable update service, or be prepared for a new one to be run for this position.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the sports centre facilities (including the pool and pool area) and it's development in relation to the educational facility. You will also be responsible for the management of a full time supervisor and a team of lifeguards.
Other duties include:
- Overall management
- Pool maintenance and lifeguarding
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Maintenance and development of systems to provide data, target indicators and analysis of financial and non financial key performance indicators
- Day to day marketing
- All operation policies and health and safety
- Maintenance, coordination, management and oversight of pool plant, equipment and inventories and control of all internal stores including stock for resale
- Stock control
- Coordinating and overseeing all staff training, including relevant lifeguard, gym supervision and safeguarding course

You may also be required to undertake additional duties such as swim teaching, minibus driving and supervision of pupils

To be successful, you must be flexible to work across a rota including unsociable hours and weekend work. You must also have experience in a sports or leisure centre in a management capacity and you must have pool plant maintenance training as you will be solely responsible for the safety and maintenance of the pool area.

A lifeguard qualification is preferred, however training will be given if necessary.
