My client is a large national contractor within the Social Housing sector. They currently have an opportunity for a Repairs and Maintenance Supervisor to join on a permanent basis in the Cambridge area.
The duties of the role will include:
• Managing the team of trades staff and sub-contractors for a variety of work streams
• Ensuring both directly employed staff and sub-contractors are working effectively and in line with KPI's
• Carrying out surveys within occupied properties
• Using schedules of rates for repairs work carried out
• Ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to
• Monitoring budget and keeping costs down when sourcing materials and labour
The successful candidate will have previously supervised repair and planned works within social housing. It is also essential that candidates have managed both directly employed staff and sub-contractors, have a full UK driving licence and live within a commutable distance from the Cambridge area. You must be proficient with a variety of IT packages and have experience of reporting.
This role is for an immediate start and pays a competitive salary as well as a generous package to include van, fuel card, uniform, holiday pay and pension after a qualifying period.
