Our client are a well established international manufacturing company with facilities in the North of England, Scotland and Midlands.

The main duties of the role are:

To lead and maintain the major crisis recovery plan
Ensure legal standards are met and quality standards are inline with requirements of ISO 9001 and 14001, and FSC
Advise management of responsibilities towards employees ensuring efficient H&S operations are conducted
Work with Finance Director on annual H&S budget
Be primary contact and communicate all H&S issues through all teams
Be responsible for risk management activities at UK sites
Be up to date with all current H&S legislation, implement improvements
Report regularly to senior management and work closely with departmental managers
Prepare and deliver H&S training programmes to all trainees
Support production management in implementation of new equipment and process

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a Health & Safety role.
A sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 systems would be desirable
Formal health and safety qualifications are essential i.e. IOSH, a NEBOSH certificate is desirable

The salary for this role is negotiable dependant on skills and experience
