Skills required for the Job:
?? A proactive approach with a commitment to providing excellent Customer Service
?? A working knowledge of the UK Export Control process and US Departments of Defence (ITAR) and Commerce (EAR) licensing procedures
?? experience in legal and contractual business undertakings is essential
?? Experience in the Exporting of Goods and Technology is essential.
?? Experience of procurement would be an advantage
?? Able to liaise with external agencies and to co-ordinate internal customer requirements.

To ensure that new international agreements, orders and contracts from UK business is reviewed for compliance with export control regulations. And to work with commercial, legal, marketing, business development and other departments at the earliest stage to ensure that compliant business is introduced.

Main Activities
To support/manage the activities with regards to all aspects of export control within your area of responsibility by:
• Providing front end business process support on export related issues from first contact/RFQ through to business winning, organising/attending prospect reviews.
• Coordinating the CIS activity across all countries
• Supporting the Business Line activity for Space, Electronics and Military Aircraft for UK elements
• Providing expert advice to Procurement, Contracts, Sales and Project departments on matters relating to UK / US Export regulations and best practice.
• Undertaking contracts, orders and agreements reviews from UK business for compliance with export control regulations and company policies.
• Being prime for creating and maintaining TAAs related to UK CIS business.
• In collaboration with the national Export Control Operations Managers creating/managing alerts for issues involving export control and coordinating information on the change of status or classification of controlled items, ensuring that the business is informed appropriately.

Participate in export compliance functional activity by:
• Providing the necessary expertise in order to transfer the prospect into program status within the export compliance organisation to ensure smooth transition.
• Assisting where required in the definition and the implementation of procedures and policies in all related activities
• Supporting monitoring and reporting activity by:
• Assisting in the preparation for external audits and being present during the audit if required, particularly with government agencies.
• Assisting in the preparation of internal audits and conducting such audits as required.
• Recording and maintaining all export data within the central database.
• Providing periodic and ad-hoc reports of material information, issues, concerns and statistics
• To carry out any reasonable task assigned by immediate manager and to work in any other area on a temporary basis as reasonably assigned by immediate manager - EG support to product and technology export control.
