Paint Shop Team Lead / Paint Shop Supervisor - Aerospace

You will be responsible for delivering the manufacturing plan using module resources helping to ensure all relevant aspects of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety (QCDS) are met. To supervise the Paint Shop.

You will need to know how to read drawings, use a PC and will attend production meetings.

Usual activities like sanding down products , masking up and paint spraying for component Antenna pieces. Ideally from an Aerospace / Manufacturing back ground but automotive experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities - Paint Shop Supervisor / Paint Shop Team Lead / Paint Sprayer:
Perform finish coat painting, spray or brush, in accordance with relevant manufacturing instructions.
Cover surfaces of machines or manufactured products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, enamel, glaze in conjunction with process specification PS 8300.
May be required to perform a painting operation that calls for unusual specifications for finishing requirements necessitating the mixing of paints to achieve the desired special effects.
Handling queries from members of the department when they arise.
Observe all necessary SHE regulations.
Assist the team in maintaining high standards of quality and output.
Understand and allocate work according to plans.
Responsibility for the observation of the day to day operations.
Ensure production schedules and targets are met.
Responsible for observing and ensuring others adhere to the organisation's SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Policy and Procedures.
To liaise with colleagues in respect of following quality procedures, notifying and completing appropriate paperwork for quality assurance.
To assist with the movement of materials and products at the request of supervisors.
Carry out administrative duties such as ensuring all appropriate paperwork is completed for monitoring targets and key performance indicators as instructed by the Production Supervisor (Paint).
Carry out tasks as delegated by the Production Supervisor (Paint).
Provide feedback about product design aspects, highlighting issues as appropriate.
Suggest continuous improvements.

Qualifications and Experience - Paint Shop Supervisor / Paint Sprayer Team Lead / Paint Sprayer:
Experience of working within a production/manufacturing environment preferably Aerospace, but would consider automotive.
Ability to support others.
Ability and experience of working within a team.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Attention to detail.
Good timekeeping skills.
Ability to motivate others to achieve targets and outcomes.
Computer literate.
Production process and performance monitoring and actioning.
Good people management skills.
