Position: Releasing Engineer / Launch Engineer
Location: Basildon, Essex
Term: Permanent
Remuneration: cGBP35K pa - GBP40K pa & Full Benefits
Our Client, a global major Tier 1 Automotive company specialising in the supply of high technology electronic modules, instrumentation and wiring harness systems, seek an experienced Releasing Engineer / Launch Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis as a "resident" to be based in Basildon, Essex. Offering superb long term career prospects, this role is offering a competitive (albeit negotiable) basic salary, and full benefits package. The role is to be recruited with immediate effect.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the main responsibilities of this role will see you in charge of the release of EDS / Wiring Harnesses and components into customer systems (AVBOM, WERS etc).
Additional responsibilities will include:
-Review and analyse customer product direction documents (PDL, TIB, etc) for EDS / Harness content and track changes and open issues to resolution.
-Assist the design team to establishing complexity lists. Maintain complexity lists and keep careful tracking of changes.
-Enter part information into AVBOM, complete required data entry and ensure customer gateways are met with the required completion status.
-Enter part information into WERS. Create concerns and track to completion.
-Create WERS alerts and track status.
-Work closely with the internal project team and customer.
Qualifications and Experience ideally required:
-Should ideally be educated to Degree level or possess equivalent relevant experience.
-Should be a proficient user of AVBOM and WERS.
-Ideally have solid experience in part coding in WERS.
-Should understand part complexity.
-Must be I.T. literate.
-Any experience of EDS / Wiring Harness useful, but not essential.
-Must be flexible for occasional Worldwide travel and be eligible to work within the UK.
