Class 2 Driver

We have a new exciting opportunity for Class 2 drivers looking for permanent job. This role is offered by food waste recycling company in cooperation with the Driver Exchange. They are looking to fill two temp-to-perm roles based in Silvertown. Duties involve bin lift operations and food waste collections.

The Driver Exchange is an online marketplace helping to connect hirers and drivers to find work. It will also automatically take care of your work admin: create electronic timesheets for you, calculate your pay and as well as create invoices.

After 12 weeks of consistent and exemplary service, a perm role with 55 hours guaranteed per week and a salary of GBP28,989 per year (inclusive of the guaranteed OT) will be offered.

Start ASAP!

Bin lift operations (collection and emptying wheelie bins) and food waste collections (operation a box vehicle with a tail lift)

Monday to Friday day work, with consistent AM start times (Apply online only)); possibility of weekends

Shifts are on average 10 hours long, there is a daily guarantee of 8 hours

Local runs, mulit drop with 20-30 drops per shift

Manual handling of wheelie bins involved

Ltd/Umbrella rates of pay p/h (first 12 weeks):

Monday - Friday days: GBP12.50; OT paid after 10 hours: GBP15.87

Saturday: GBP15.87

Sunday: GBP19.25

BH: GBP26

Requirements:

Min. 1 year of Class 2 (C) driving experience in the UK; valid UK licence, DigiTacho card and DQC

Previous experience in a customer-facing role

Good standard of English
