Our visualisation client are looking for a highly motivated, lead individual to join their expanding automotive team.

This is a supervisory/hands on role and you will be as proficient as a line manager as you are a 3D Automotive Artist. Liaising with the Producer and other Lead roles within our automotive team on a daily basis, you will be able to assess each project's requirements and guide the team to submit to the pipeline assets which have achieved the required standard.

You will be experienced in working with automotive models and CAD data, practise and efficient production processes and be able to find solutions to common problems and understand where to place detail based on the individual project requirements.

You must have the experience of leading and inspiring a team of digital artists with mixed levels of skill and seniority as the quality of the final assets will be your responsibility.

The desired candidate will be eager to learn, highly organised and have a good interest in automotive imagery.

The purpose of the role is to supply a range 3D skills to the production pipeline including look development of garaged assets. Part of the role is hands on production and part is supervisor based -keeping the garaging team organised, on target, up to date with the latest data/modelling requirements in order to provide the lighting/pipeline team with production ready garaged assets.

Skills Required:

* Possess exceptional communication skills.
* Experience of working within an active CG production team.
* An understanding of 3D in general enabling you to understand the requirements and level of finish
* Lead and motivate a team of mixed skill levels.
* Ability to work from a varied complexity of brief.
* Ability to express ideas within short time constraints.
* Be receptive to constructive criticism and learn from it.
* Ability to achieve high level of image quality comparable with the best automotive CGi work in the industry
* To create and maintain the automotive pipeline to provide high end automotive deliverables.
* Have the skills to collate necessary information from the project manager and potentially the client to proceed with any brief or multiple briefs.
* Have the ability to organise and time control your own assignments throughout shifting deadlines.
* Offer assistance to the Project Manager with regard to creating schedules and milestones.
* Build rapport & understanding with team members and in some cases, clients.
* Proactively seek from external sources, knowledge of developing technology to elevate your personal understanding of the current CG environment, thus keeping yourself and the business on the leading edge of technology
* Be willing to knowledge share and to develop other members of the team.
* Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
* Must be able to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure.
* Ability to assess and critique work

Technical capabilities required:

High level of experience in 3D Studio Max and VRay -

Desired experience but not essential - Zbrush, Deltagen, Photoshop and Nuke
