Job Title: 3D Workshop Technician / Prop Maker
Vickers Neal Recruitment Solutions Ltd are currently working with Elegant Clutter Ltd.
Based in Warwick, Elegant Clutter Ltd are a leading supplier of bespoke artwork and sculpture to the restaurant, bar and hotel industries in the UK and Europe.
Due to their continued success we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3D Workshop Technician.
This role will require you to create anything from handmade timber frames to a replica of a Spitfire propeller, metal bull sculpture, lightbox or even to build an exhibition stand from scratch.
You will be required to work with a broad range of materials including wood, metal, acrylic, diabond, fibreglass, resin, various textiles and many others. You will also use different skills such as carpentry, joinery, sculpting, casting, sewing, painting, welding in various fabrications.
In order to fulfil the requirements of this unique opportunity you will have:
Proven practical and craft skills
Good understanding of the materials used and ability to pick things up fast
Ability to work on your own incentive and as a part of the team
Good eye for quality and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Good problem solving skills
Ability to research new techniques
Ability to follow instructions and interpret design drawings
Be flexible and be able to put in long hours to meet deadlines when necessary
Previous experience in prop making, fine art, 3D build, theatre set build and production arts would be very desirable for this positon.
This is a very broad and demanding opportunity where every day will present new and exciting challenges. You will therefore need both a practical and technical mindset and be consistent in spotting opportunities to find improvements to create unique and imaginative pieces for Elegant Clutters clients.
You will be eager to learn and equally keen to support team members.
