This academy seeks an enthusiastic, confident and highly organised HR Officer to provide HR administration and support to the HR Manager and co-ordinate daily the deployment of agency and supply staff to cover for absent teachers and other colleagues.

This is an important role, supporting two key areas of the school and the successful candidate will be highly organised, able to multi-task and prioritise a full workload effectively and positively, with excellent communication and administration skills. The postholder will have worked at a similar level and ideally hold a CIPD qualification or be studying towards it. They will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and show flexibility as required to effectively meet the requirements of the role. The postholder will also be able to approach situations with tact, discretion and maintain complete confidentiality, as the situation requires.

You will have a passion for continuous improvement, high expectations and very high standards of performance. This opportunity will excite those who believe that anyone can excel and that everyone deserves the best.

The academy is 20 minutes by train from London Euston. It has a strong vision and ethos which has led to a rapid expansion in student numbers and impressive examination results. In December 2013 Ofsted judged the academy to be 'Good' in every category, while the Education Business Awards recognised them as an 'Outstanding Academy'. They are a case study with the Department for Education twice over, and have been recognised for their good practice by both the Office of the Schools Commissioner and the Local Authority. They are consistently in the top 20% of schools nationally for pupil progress and, most importantly, students and staff at the academy share a commitment to its success and are "Proud to belong".

The academy has an active wellbeing committee and was recognised in 2015 with the Investors in People Health and Wellbeing Award. All colleagues benefit from free gym membership, Employee Assistance and also have the opportunity to exchange ideas and develop their careers through the Meller Educational Trust.
