The company client is a widely known organisation who are actively looking to recruit a dynamic and tenacious Interim Head of Finance to join their fast growing organisation based in Hertfordshire.This is an exciting opportunity for career progression.
Job Overview:
* Lead the reporting teams delivering internal and external reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries
* Lead the year end statutory reporting, working in partnership with auditors, running to strict deadlines at all times
* Senior member of the Finance team leading 3 managers and deputising for the Finance Director
* Lead pending general ledger upgrade
Key deliverables will cover:
* Production, communication and analysis of all internal and Head Office reporting for the Group and subsidiaries
* The production of the annual statutory accounts (IFRS) for the holding company and subsidiaries
* Production of the quarterly SII Return
* Lead the annual 3 year planning process
* Monthly overhead reporting and forecasting and investment Reporting
* Embed a culture to improve the financial control and reporting framework
* Review the month end process and implement improvements where appropriate
* Support the development of direct reports and their teams
* Support the Finance Director and deputise where appropriate
Background and skills required:
* Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE
* General Insurance accounting experience
* Strong finance systems experience and knowledge
* Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
* Significant experience of understanding and applying technical accounting and regulatory rules/principles
* Significant people management and leadership experience
