FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
SALARY GBP55K - GBP70K PER ANNUM DOE

In support of their current growth plan my client is seeking to build and strengthen their financial function with this new position. As a robust Business Partner, supporting the CFO and the Leadership Team, you will support decision making and develop, implement and maintain an effective INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL FUNCTION, including MANAGING A SMALL FINANCIAL TEAM. You will also support the establishment of the U.S. FINANCE FUNCTION in due course and oversee all aspects of the Group's day-to-day financial management and reporting, ensuring that all financial information is accurately recorded and monthly management accounts prepared promptly and accurately along with cash forecasts. You will also support the CFO and the CEO with FUND RAISING, investor activities and CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT of the business.
You will need to have a minimum of degree level education, be qualified ACA and have post-qualified experience. You will either be looking for a change or your next step up, or will be a Manager from an audit/accountancy firm looking for their first Industry role????????????..
In this varied role you will take ownership of the following; Management reporting and Business Partnering, Financial reporting and compliance, financial planning and analysis, Working capital and cash-flow management, financial projects and Tax.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• Minimum of DEGREE LEVEL EDUCATION and QUALIFIED ACA with post-qualified industry experience and looking for a change or next step up, or a Senior Manager or Manager from an AUDIT/ACCOUNTANCY FIRM looking for their first Industry role
• Previous experience within a BIOTECH / PHARMACEUTICAL / HEALTHCARE enterprise would be advantageous
• Previous experience ensuring financial controls are operating effectively
• Experience dealing with AUDITORS and HRMC
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-starter able to work on own initiative
• Ability to work in, lead and manage a team
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent organisation skills with demonstrable ability to prioritise work load and meet deadlines
