Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a reputable and ambitious Accountancy Practice in Chapeltown, Sheffield.
My client currently has a rare opportunity within their team for an experienced and enthusiastic Accountant/ Business Manager which, in time will also offer the successful candidate the potential and scope to develop to a higher level within the business as the firm continues to grow from strength to strength. The firm actively encourages the continual growth and development of all it's employees whilst being fully focused and committed to providing outstanding service levels to each of their clients.
The main purpose of the Accountant/ Business Manager role will be to assist the Senior Accountant in the day to day running and supervision of this busy practice, offering support and guidance to colleagues where needed as well as reviewing month end and year end statutory accounts. Another large part of this role will be to take a proactive approach in the development of the client portfolio in terms of promoting and delivering on value-added services such as Business and Tax Advisory Services in order to increase profitability for their client's businesses.
The role will be heavily involved in going out to meet with clients at their premises, reviewing systems, practices, discussing their accounts to provide management information and related analysis. This role will suit an individual who enjoys the technical aspects of accounting as well as having the ability to communicate well at all levels and formulate strategy in order to add value to clients in the way of business consulting. Ambition and desire is key for this role as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to really make this role their own and drive their own career forward with a highly driven and proven firm.
Ideally you will have around 3-5 years' experience (or more) within a professional practice environment, with a tenacious and hard-working attitude. You will be a confident communicator and have the desire to progress and develop within the business. You will ideally be AAT Qualified and ACA/ ACCA part/full qualification would also be advantageous although not essential.
