This company is a fast growing and innovative technology company based in Nottingham with offices in the U.S. and Canada.
The Database Developer will provide database design, development, and application support for their products, contributing to the architecture of the products and working closely with the companies Database Architects and Software Developers to actively seek Database improvements.
Technical competence in more than one of the following would be a big plus:
- Good knowledge of the following technologies SQL Server, the SQL language (T-SQL), and other relevant programming languages desirable
- Proven commercial experience in a Microsoft .NET environment preferably with C#.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design indexes for existing applications, choosing when to add or remove indexes
- Advise developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, datatypes, stored procedures, functions, etc.)
- Develop SQL reports as required by the business
- To participate in the configuration and maintenance of product development including the production of validation document sets.
- To assist the Database Architects to ensure backups are tested so we can meet the companies Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
- To write requirements specifications, define database architectures, develop and implement designs and test environments within agreed timescales
- To ensure products are in a validated state throughout Change Control

- Proficient in MS office suite of programs
- Proactive with ability to generate ideas and translate them into practical solutions
