A leading UK insurance business are looking to appoint an underwriting manager to oversee underwriting process and strategy across their commercial division.
You Will be required to develop, monitor and manage account underwriting performance, technical standards, policies and procedures to deliver Combined Operating Ratio and financial plans in line with agreed corporate and underwriting strategies and regulatory requirements.
The position will require a true leader with an experienced background of technical underwriting. There will be direct line management of approximately om commercial underwriters as well as P+L management of the underwriting accounts.
You will be accountable for the enforcement, development and improvement of underwriting guidelines, audits and performance review.
To be considered for this role you will hold excellent underwriting discipline within commercial lines. You will have a proven track record of managing an underwriting book and teams.
