Salary GBP30,500 - GBP44,000 DOE

About the Tax Associate - Employer Solutions role

To support the needs of a diverse range of clients in providing a variety of international assignment services (IAS), including advisory and compliance to both the client and employees.

Ensure excellent client service and provide supervision and support to more junior colleagues.

To make a significant contribution towards the overall future development and success of the firm through business development initiatives and networking events.

As the successful candidate you will:

* Support the process of employee compliance obligations including Tax Returns, Social Security Certificates, claiming foreign tax credits or reliefs where appropriate and ensure that the clients comply with statutory requirements.

* Support client services with advisory projects from start to completion on international assignments including liaison with offices across the globe to ensure accurate advice and services across a broad spectrum of teams and international authorities.

* Take responsibility on timescales and liaison between differencing tax year ends, compliance year ends, international deadlines and to communicate these to both the internal and external teams.

* Support the Due Diligence team in respect of reviewing client services.

* Deal with HMRC employee compliance enquiries or tax code adjustments.

* Build relationships with clients so as to identify tax planning opportunities and to undertake specialist technical assignments as required.

* Brief junior staff on assignment instructions, supervise and control the completion of work providing 'on the job' training and appraisal feedback where necessary.

* Take responsibility for assignments to ensure that invoices are raised in a timely manner and within the targeted recovery rate.

* Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil professional bodies' CPD requirements.

* Research and prepare proposals for new work, and to take part in formal presentations to prospective clients. Personal and professional qualities preferred

* Tax experience in a professional firm - preferably containing International Compliance.

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Able to work as part of a team.
