We have a fantastic opportunity to join an established company with over 25 years of experience in property sales and financial services. They have a great reputation within the industry and now require an experienced Paraplanner who has a strong focus on Pensions Solutions to join their team based in their office in Newry.

Role responsibilities:

• Assist in the 'smooth running' of the business by way of providing support to Financial Advisers and / or Support Team daily.
• Analyse the various Pension Needs and Arrangements of existing, new and potential clients.
• Analyse Investment and Protection Needs and Arrangements of existing, new and potential clients.
• Design solutions to meet such client needs, inclusive of SIPPs, SSASs, Transfers, Drawdown, Groups and Individual plans.
• Oversee and assist in the delivery of such solution.
• Assist the Partners/Advisers to exploit opportunities within the marketplace (from client referrals and new and existing professional introducers).
• Assist the Partners/Advisers to consolidate existing Pension Scheme Client Base in a pre-determined deliverable timescale.
• Analyse information recorded on file concerning clients' circumstances, needs and objectives.
• Ensure sufficient information is recorded regarding client circumstances to provide recommendations up to an acceptable and consistent compliant standard.
• Assist Management with the ongoing development and monitoring of Advisers in order that they attain a standard of file preparation consistent with the delivery of quality financial solutions.
• Conduct product/provider research using technology based research systems approved by the firm.
• Produce Suitability Reports in a professional format for presentation to clients based upon the information obtained by the Advisers.
• Submit relevant cases for Pre Approval in line with the Compliance Manual.
• Process New Business on relevant Platforms.
• Assist Advisers in the constant updating of and improvement to Suitability Reports.
• Prepare application Forms and supporting documentation for the Advisers in line with recommendation.
• Attend client meetings with Adviser, if required.
• Complete work within the target deadline.
• Keep clear and accurate records on file to support all research and recommendations made.
• Ensure adherence to compliance procedures at all times.
• Ensure that attention to detail is applied at all times.
• Maintain a watching brief of industry development of such technology and research.
• Constantly review the market place and be appraised of innovations to research systems and report to management as appropriate.
• Provide assistance / training to the Advisers.
• Assist with the identification of courses of action in order to advance the Advisers competency and proficiencies.
• Assist Management and Advisers in business processing with particular regard to regular contact with the relevant Product Providers thereby ensuring that all business is properly processed.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all other staff, Partners and Advisers.
• All other duties as directed by Partners and Management.

Essential requirements:
• Diploma Level 4 and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a paraplanning role with a strong knowledge in all areas of Pensions OR have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role and currently working towards Level 4 or be prepared to work towards Level 4.
• Have a strong knowledge of all areas of Pension Planning - inclusive of Pension Consolidation, Pension Crystallisation (all types), Pension Reviews (both Pre and Post Retirement), SIPP's and SSAS's, Defined Benefit Transfers, Defined Contribution/Money Purchase Transfers.
• Possess an excellent understanding of the UK Financial Services Regulatory Framework and the implications of the current pension's rules to the business transaction process.
• Have a competent level of computer literacy and can demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of research tools i.e. Select a Pension, Synaptics, O&M etc.
• Have the ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Be able to demonstrate good negotiation skills in terms of dealing with Product Providers at the highest level including ability to successfully remonstrate and challenge said Providers on behalf of clients, if required.
• Be a team player and be able to effectively interact with people.
• Have an ability to work on own initiative in an efficient and organised manner.
• Possess good communication skills - both oral and written.

Desirable:
• Industry recognised Pension exams such as R08, G60 and/or AF3
• Knowledge of GPP's, Pre A-Day Rules and Autoenrolment
• Knowledge of TVAS Reports
• Knowledge of SIPP/SSAS Property Purchase
• Knowledge of SIPP/SSAS Self-Investment
• Knowledge of SSAS Loans to Sponsoring Employers
• Knowledge of Cash Flow Modelling

For the right candidate, my client is offering a fantastic package:
• Base salary between GBP25,000 to GBP35,000 depending on experience
• Office hours: 9am to 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch
