Smart Recruitment are assisting a local accountancy in recruiting for their next Financial Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a successful local accountancy and financial planning firm. Our client are seeking a proactive, self-motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Financial Planning team to work predominantly in their Yeovil Office but with ad hoc requirements in their Exeter office, this role would suit someone from a financial or banking background.

This exciting opportunity requires somebody who will provide administration support to their Financial Planners and Client Managers, this includes preparation for client meetings, investment summaries, creating and maintaining client records and processing new business applications.

Key duties include:

-Maintain the accuracy of client data to assist in the on-going management of the client.
-Manage the client review process to ensure all clients are serviced in accordance with their pre-agreed proposition.
-Liaise with external third parties to gather the necessary information to put together investments summaries and/or to support the provision of advice.
-Deal with clients in an efficient and professional manner and ensure a high level of service is provided.
-Ensure all advice provided adheres to internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications & skills:

-Working towards the Certificate in Financial Planning
-At least 1 years` experience in an administrative environment
-Excellent organisational skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Good communication skills both written and verbal
-Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines and service standards
-IT literate (Microsoft Office) and ideally previous experience of IFA back office systems
