My client are an established firm of Accountants and are looking for a bright, pro-active tax senior to manage a varied client portfolio with specialisms in media, property, OMB's and HNWI's. Work is varied and could include compliance and advisory work around Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates as well as VAT, Sole Traders, Overseas Taxation and Corporation Tax.
There is a compliance focus to this role but there will be some ad-hoc projects ensuring work is varied. If you are ATT qualified and/or CTA qualified (or working towards) with Personal Tax experience, up to date with legislation and can take full responsibility for a portfolio of clients then we would welcome your application.
Working as part of the personal tax team, your responsibilities will include:
• managing an allocated portfolio of work;
• managing tax juniors to develop their skills and monitor their work flow;
• preparation and review of tax returns and dealing with the compliance of tax processing;
• meeting and verbal/written contact with clients;
• review of accounts preparation work for tax returns;
• contact with HM Revenue and other third parties.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• ATT qualified and keen to study for CTA
• Solid understanding of personal tax, in particular self assessment, self employment, rental income and capital gains
• Ability to prepare rental statements and tax returns
• Willingness to take responsibility for delivering excellent client care
• Good written and oral communication for getting complex matters across to clients and staff
• Ability to work accurately without constant supervision
• Commercial approach and ability to work efficiently
• Ability to work as part of a team;

Market salary subject to skills and experience.
